CHRISTUS Trinity Eye Center consists of 7 physicians and 4 optometrists, who work together as a team to provide comprehensive eye care to patients in Northeast Texas and beyond, with high quality, safety, and efficiency.
The department is led by Ming Lu, MD, PhD, Chief of Ophthalmology and Wayne Eric Jones, OD, Lead in Optometry. The department treats a full range of eye diseases and has created subspecialty clinics including our Cataract Clinic, Glaucoma Clinic, Retina Clinic, Cornea Clinic, and a General Eye Clinic.
The diversified training and interests of our providers facilitate highly specialized care and collaborative intra- and inter-departmental consultations to ensure the most up-to-date, efficient, and effective treatment for each patient. Exams
Regular eye exams are the best way to
protect your vision and keep your eyes
healthy. Our doctors take pride in caring
for the eyes of their patients and protecting
the gift of healthy vision.
If your vision is stable, you should have an
eye exam every two years. During this exam,
your eyes will be dilated, your vision quality will be checked, and you will be screened for eye disorders such as glaucoma.
If your vision seems to change between routine exams, you should schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Early detection and treatment of certain eye diseases and disorders can prevent loss of vision.
